Warranty.
Most Cameras you purchase will come
with a one year US warranty. If any
thing happens to your camera during
this time, bring it to Arrow Camera
with your receipt and we will send
it to the manufacturer for a warranty
repair. If you no longer have your
sales receipt or if it was a gift,
we can locate that information in
our database if it was purchased at
Arrow Camera. We can also help you
with your camera if the purchase was
not done in our store. However, if
the camera was purchased from us,
we will pay for the shipping and handling.
Out
of Warranty.
If
your camera is out of warranty we
can give you an approximate estimate
immediately, however most problems
can be solved right on the spot.
It's true that a high percentage of
all repairs are related to battery
failure. We will check your batteries
before sending equipment to our service
center. Keep in mind that most lithium
batteries will test "good" on a conventional
battery tester, even when the battery
is not performing properly. If your
battery is a "lithium type" we will
try a fresh, new battery before sending
the equipment in for repair. We alsomake
sure the camera contacts are shiny
and clean. A lot of times fresh batteries
don't make good contact because of
battery build-up on the contacts.
Cameras and camcorders usually have
some features that are used infrequently,
or perhaps not at all. Sometimes a
switch or button is engaged accidentally,
causing the equipment to behave differently.
Before sending an item for repair,
check your instruction manual to be
sure that the problem is not related
to any "operator error."
If a problem occurs with your equipment,
we will try to duplicate the error.
This helps to narrow down the cause.
It could be a defective roll of film
or videotape that is causing the problem.
Rewind and unload the film or tape,
operate the equipment without it,
and then operate it with a new roll
of film or tape. If the malfunction
ceased when the first roll or tape
was removed, then a repair may not
be necessary.
Warranty Work:
If your recently purchased
equipment malfunctions, you may be
entitled to a repair under the original
manufacturer's warranty. Most Cameras
come with a one year US warranty.
If your
Camera is out of Warranty a 6 month
warranty will be given after the repair.
Some manufacturer's only give a 90
day warranty on camcorders. When a
camera is sent to the manufacturer
they will not only fix the problem,
they also will go through the camera
and check all other functions. The
camera gets cleaned at the same time.
When you receive your camera it is
very important that you test your
camera and use it as soon as possible
to assure the camera is working properly.
The warranty is based on time, not
how often you used your camera.
We also accept movie, slide, and overhead
projectors.
Turn
a round time.
Most
repairs will take 4 to 6 weeks if
sent to the manufacturer. We also
deal with independent repair facilities
that can sometimes give us a faster
turn a round time.
