quick
way
to
make
a
3D
looking
ring. |

Step
one:
Open a new RGB
document and
create a new
layer. Then
using the circular
marquee tool
make an oval
selection similar
to this.
Step
two:
Hold down the
option key and
make another
oval selection
similar to this.
Note:Holding
down the space
bar lets you
position the
second selection
where you like.
Step
three:
Select the gradient
tool, foreground
to background,
making the foreground
color your color
of choice and
the background
color black.
Then drag a
gradient from
top to bottom
like this.
Step
four:
Go under select>transform
selection and
rotate your
selection 180
degrees.
Step
five:
This time draw
your gradient
from bottom
to top and deselect.
Step
Six:
For the last
step go under
layer>effects>Innershadow
and set the
blur to 30 to
add a little
bit more depth
Step
Seven:
DONE!
