1: Here's a great picture
of Santa taken by the elves
at PhotoSpin, and a nice shot
of Steve, the Company Manager
In Charge Of Holiday Parties--
let's use Photoshop to put
Steve's face on Santa. Better
get started before the reindeer
start another game... |
|
Step
2: Let's start by selecting
Steve's face with the Lasso
tool. Go a little outside
the face-- we're going to
layer mask out what we don't
want. Copy the face and... |
|
Step
3: ...paste Steve's face on
top of Santa. As you can see,
Steve's face is bigger, and
at a slightly different angle.
Lower the opacity to about
65% so we can see Santa to
adjust to. |
 |
Step
4: Hit command-t (Mac) or
cntrl-t (PC) to transform
the face. Hold the shift key
down to keep him proportional,
and click outside the corners
to turn him so his eyes match
up with Santa's eyes |

Step
5: Turn Steve back to 100%
opacity, and tap on the Layer
Mask icon to add a layer mask. |
|
Step
6: Now's the fun part! Set
your Airbrush Brush Dynamics
to Opacity only, and paint
with black to erase. Press
softly to feather the beard
in, harder to erase it all.
And if you should over-erase,
just paint with white to bring
it back. |

8: Hmmm... Santa's mustache
would look pretty good on
Steve. Let's select it with
the Lasso tool, and hit command-j

it to a new layer we'll put
above our Steve layer. |
